
Tamara Sloan named in-house general counsel for BOK Financial

TULSA- March 31, 2026- Effective March 31, Tamara Sloan will join the executive leadership team of BOK Financial as in-house general counsel.
"Bringing the role in-house strengthens leadership alignment and decision making across the organization. This change reflects the continued growth and increasing complexity of BOK Financial," said Stacy Kymes, president and CEO of BOK Financial.
Sloan became general counsel of BOK Financial in 2021. She was a member of Frederic Dorwart Lawyers from 1998 to 2026 where she represented banks and venture capital companies in mergers and acquisitions, finance, corporate governance, securities and bank regulatory compliance.

She received her J.D., magna cum laude, in 1995 from the Vermont Law School, where she was an editor of the Vermont Law Review. In 1992 she received her B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There she was elected to the honor society, Phi Beta Kappa, and to the Innocents Society for outstanding scholarship and leadership. She has served as an adjunct Professor of Banking Law at the University of Tulsa School of Law.
Sloan has twice served as chairperson of the Legal Division of the Tulsa United Way and been on the board of Visit Tulsa and Booker T. Washington Foundation for Excellence. She is currently a director of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Reining Horse Association.
