TULSA, OK, Sept. 9, 2026 - BOK Financial has earned a place on Forbes’ inaugural list of the World’s Top Performing Banks.

BOKF ranked No. 25 globally and No. 6 among U.S. banks in the Upper Mid-Size Banks category. It was also the top-ranked bank in Oklahoma. The list included 500 banks from 89 countries.

"This recognition reflects more than a single year of strong performance," said Stacy Kymes, CEO of BOK Financial. "It reflects generations of employees making thoughtful decisions, building lasting relationships and keeping an eye on the long term. That foundation has helped BOK Financial navigate change, adapt through uncertainty and continue growing. We're proud of this achievement because it honors what we have built over more than a century - and points to what we can build next."

Produced by Forbes and Statista, a market research firm, the inaugural ranking evaluated financial institutions across four areas: profitability; growth and earnings quality; capital and funding resilience; and asset quality and efficiency.

Institutions were analyzed using standardized performance measures to provide consistent, comparable and transparent results. The analysis relied on objective financial data obtained through leading data providers, including the S&P Capital IQ platform, as well as desk research and data submitted by banks.

"Recognition like this introduces more people to BOK Financial, but rankings alone don't build awareness," said Kelley Weil, executive vice president of the Consumer, Mortgage and Marketing divisions at BOK Financial. "That happens one experience and one relationship at a time. The better people understand who we are and what we stand for, the more likely they are to choose or recommend us."

To qualify for the list, institutions must be licensed deposit-taking commercial, universal or wholesale banks with more than $3 billion in assets and at least three consecutive years of audited financial data.

Eligible banks were divided into six tiers based on total assets, allowing institutions to be compared with similarly sized peers. Tier 1, global banks, had more than $500 billion in total assets; Tier 2, large banks, had $100 billion to $500 billion; Tier 3, upper midsize banks, had $50 billion to $100 billion; Tier 4, midsize banks, had $20 billion to $50 billion; Tier 5, lower midsize banks, had $10 billion to $20 billion; and Tier 6, small banks, had $3 billion to $10 billion.
